Vintage Restorations & Renovations

Since 1980 my name has been associated with award winning hand crafted signs and graphic design. During these years, honing my skills as a craftsman, I have also been involved in many residential building restoration and renovation projects. These have included gutting and renovating my own investment properties as well as properties for out of town investors. I have a background in plumbing, electrical and carpentry. In 2010 I became EPA Certified as a Lead Safety Renovator which allows me to work on residential structures built prior to 1978, as is now required by law.

I will still be offering quality, custom designed, hand carved and sculptural signs through the well established K.D.Wheeler Custon Sign label. However I am excited to announce the formation of my next business venture, Vintage Restorations and Renovations.

With this new endeavor I am specializing in work on older homes, incorporating traditional methods, attention to detail and maintaining the integrity of the original. I like to use antique and salvaged materials when I feel they will, not only save money and the environment, but add charm and character to my projects. I have a network of specialty contractors I can call on for every phase of construction from foundation to roof.

I can quote a project as a total “material & labor” job or as a “labor only” job, giving clients the option of supplying their own materials, which can help them control quality and their investment.

30 years of experience taking projects from design to completion, as well as my approach as an artist, I believe gives me something different to offer the restoration and renovation market.

Please feel free to contact me for design ideas, construction options and inspiration when thinking of your next renovation adventure.
